Bags

An every day need and a clever development

There are several types of bags almost for every need:

  • Trash bags
  • Merchandise bags
  • T-shirt or supermarket bags
  • Fresh produce bags
  • Self serve bags
  • Institutional bags
  • Zip-lock bags
  • And many other types

Also, even though all of the above are produced with plastics, different types of resins are involved in their fabrication.

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) are the most frequently used.

Blown film extrusion is the ideal process to produce bags because the resulting mechanical properties however for some very specific applications cast film extrusion can be also used to produce the roll stock that will be converted into bags in a secondary process.
