In addition to traditional smooth bore and grooved feed extruders, Gloucester has developed a Light Grooved model for Blown Film, blending the simplicity and low barrel wear of a smooth bore with the pressure stability and efficiency of a grooved feed extruder.

Our computer flow analysis plus decades of field performance feedback have helped us develop dies that operate efficiently over a wide array of polymers and conditions. Self-aligning, easy-change die gaps ensure faster film property optimization changes. Built with quality steels and fasteners, a GEC die delivers the highest quality film possible.
The unique air flow design of our adjustable dual-lip UltraCool Series II air ring provides the widest range of blow-up ratios, the highest cooling efficiency and the tightest film thickness control in the industry. Optional Auto-Profile control ensures the tightest and most consistent film thickness uniformity available. Adding internal Bubble Cooling or a multi-lip IBC air ring can significantly increase outputs.
Gloucester Engineering offers all the latest technologies to stabilize and collapse the bubble, vertical and horizontal hauloffs to randomize film variation for flatter film and secondary nips for proper tension isolation. Plus, treaters, web guides and web cooling rolls deliver the flattest film to the winder. Gloucester also offers a proprietary Tacky Film Package for special applications.
Gloucester offers a diverse selection of configurations and models to assure optimum roll quality for your unique application. Rigid construction eliminates vibration for high speed operation without compromising roll edge quality. Software-based Programmable Logic Control (PLC) can be readily applied to your specific production needs. AC Flux Vector drives provide extended performance range whether the product is a thin mulch film or a thick heavy-duty sack.
