The powerhouse of every extrusion line, Gloucester has two shifts dedicated entirely to rebuilding gearboxes. We also keep an extensive supply in stock to give customers the option of purchasing a new box or renting one to ensure little or no downtime.
Not all Gloucester gearboxes need to be completely rebuilt. Our technicians will assess the components and determine the most cost-effective solution to preserve the optimal functionality of your line.
• Gearbox is totally disassembled
• All internal parts, bearings, gears and the quill are removed
• Using Gloucester Engineering drawings, the quill is inspected for cracks and excessive wear
• Gears are washed in a hot cleaning solution
• All teeth are inspected for wear and correct contact with mating gears
• Prior to any re-build, a full cost competitive quotation will be provided to outline the exact scope of work that is included in the re-build
