Global Service – Service Technician II  
 

Provide independent Field Service and Installation support in a professional manner for all Gloucester Engineering Product Groups.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan, manage and execute customer projects for all GEC products
Interface with GEC engineering and process groups in the process of installing, servicing and resolving technical and/or operational issues on GEC supplied extrusion equipment at a customer site
Provide training to customer personnel on maintenance and operation of GEC equipment
Prepare timely field service reports of issues and actions for each assignment
Generate new business through sales of retrofits, upgrades, service contracts and spare parts

Qualifications/Experience:
Technical Degree or equivalent direct experience
Strong background and knowledge of AC/DC drives and microprocessors is required
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Three+ years experience in extrusion processing and/or operations of plastics processing
Three+ years experience working on cast and blown extrusion equipment.
Proficiency in written and spoken English
Bilingual English/Spanish desired
Travel is expected to be 75% minimum, but as required
Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
