Model 171 Winder

  • Single turret, auto cut winder
  • Widely used in conjunction with the 418HE, 4180-S or 450 bag machines
  • Swing out (cantilevered) shafts available.
  • Auto-indexing controlled by bag machine or winder
  • Maximum roll diameter: 18” (12” with swing out shafts)
  • Accomodates shafts of 1.5”, 3” or 6” diameter.
  • Available in 74” and 84” widths (other widths can be quoted)

Slit sealing for multi lane converting and winding

  • Extrude a wide tubular film, and slit seal it into smaller individual tubes for sealing perforating and winding or stacking
  • GEC offers slit sealers designed for either LDPE/LLDPE films, or HDPE applications

Model 118 Winder

  • Simple, economical dual spindle re-winder for bag making and other applications
  • Dancer matches winding spindle speed to incoming web speed
  • Shaft-less design allows easy roll changes with handling heavy shafts.
  • Headstock and tailstock are easily movable to accommodate core length changes
  • Machine is on castors for easy installation
  • Cut over and transfer is manual
  • Drives have “low torque” cut mode for safe operation
  • Optional dual dancer model available for special winding applications where both spindles operate simultaneously
  • Options include: air shafts, footage counter, reversing switch and lay on roll.
  • Maximum roll diameter is 18”
  • Machine is available in widths from 20” to 130” in 10” increments

Budget re-winder

  • Simple re-winder for bag on roll applications
  • This winder can be mounted on a 418 bag machine or floor mounted with castors
  • One DC drive is common to both spindles
  • Maximum roll diameter is 12”
  • Shaft with chucks for 3” cores is standard
    • Pneumatic expanding shafts are available options.
  • Machine is available in widths to match GEC bag machine sizes

  • Compact, self-contained and versatile
  • Produce two end folds from transverse folded bags
